The Proposed project is being implemented by the people who have considerable experience and expertise in establishing and running wind power project. Earlier projects have been completed in record time and are running successfully, economically and profitably. There is no time gap between each expansion.
The acute power shortage is instigating for setting up power projects, generation of power by WTG, is an eco friendly process supported by concessions and incentives by both state and central Governments. Since the cost of fossil fuels is soaring, it is advantageous to exploit wind power which is abundantly available in the state. The Govt. has also permitted, “wheeling and Banking of wind energy” which helps in supplying power directly to Industries. As such the Government policy for sale of power is made easy and profitable.
Current status :
Increase of installed capacity from 47 MW to 92 MW is scheduled during the year 2012. Initial activates for the same such as acquisition of required land, getting approvals from different nodal agencies is in progress. Further, the Government approval under single window agency for setting up 93 MW plant already available. Sourcing of equipment and financial tie up is in progress.
Project location and project lay out :
The proposed projects is planned to be located at Chikkodi taluka of Belgaum District, of Karnataka state. Different agencies of both Government and private sector authorities have studied the location in detail and certified that the location will meet with the basic requirements of wind based power station; Details below:
a. Availability of adequate wind authenticated with data.
b. Availability of roads, water
c. Availability of land for wind farm
d. Connectivity to grid
e. Environmental compliance
f. Demand for power in the long run
The Project lay out is under preparation.
Construction period workload allocation :
The estimated construction period is around 10 to 12 months. Project implementation work is proposed to be done by project management committee consisting of senior executives of the company who have considerable experience and expertise.
