M/s. Doddanavar Brothers a family business establishment is a group of entrepreneurs, who have established a family business dealing with Granite and Iron Ore. The activity includes mining, processing, beneficiation and sale mainly exports.
This family business started in the year 1960, in the industrially backward area of Belgaum. During a span of 50 years, the group developed into a business tree from a small business venture of Iron Ore mining, and expanded its operations into various activities, such as such as mining of iron ore,granites, pelletizing Of iron ore, production of steel, logistics, large construction works,production of sugar,Eco power and bio fuel.
The founder of the business establishment is Shri. Parisappa Basappa Doddanavar. Later, his two sons, Shri. Pushpadanta Parisappa Doddanavar and Vrushbhanath Parisappa Doddanavar took over the reins and continued to expand all the activities in large proportions.
Doddanavar Global Energy Pvt Ltd (DGEPL) was incorporated on the 22nd of October 2010. The project is being implemented by people who have considerable experience and expertise in establishing and running wind power projects. One of the earlier project of 15 MW wind Power production has been completed in record time and is running successfully,economically and profitably. The second project of producing 32 MW wind power is already in advanced Stage and will be fully operational shortly.
The acute power shortage in the state is reason for setting up power projects we are augmenting the efforts of power supply establishments like state owned power supply companies by producing power by Wind Mills. Since the cost of fossil fuels is soaring, it is advantageous to exploit wind power which is available abundantly in the state. The Government has also permitted, “Wheeling and Banking of wind energy” which helps in supplying power directly to industries. As such, the Government policy for sale of power is made easy and profitable.
